salams all,

what's happened to our gifted brothers, in particular, nj, aH? we haven't had a naat translated for some time. it would be good to have regular translation if the brother's have time and do not mind...the praise of Rasulullah sallallahu alaihi wasallama refreshes the mind and rejuvenates the soul....

labbayk Ya Sidi!
I will see insha Allah what i can do...but sometimes i feel unworthy of translating Ala Hazrat's :ra: verse. May Allah forgive my presumptiousness. Perhaps He will forgive me for the sake of these translations? It is a slender hope...:-)

AssalamuAlaikum

Seeing as its Rabi ul Awal... I have another request which InshaAllah you are able to fulfill. I would like "Unki Mahek Ne Dil Ke" translated please.

May this be the means for you to enter al-Jannah to be in the company of RasulAllah salallahu alaihi wasallam.

May we all embrace this mubarak month to be embraced by the blessings it holds. Ameen.

Sister-in-Islam, as per your request here is my humble little effort:
Enjoy and do dua!

1.unki mahek ne dil ke ghunchey khila diye hain
His fragrance has caused the buds of my heart to blossom
2. jis raah chal diye hain, koochey basa diye hain
Whichever road he has travelled, he has brought it to life!
3. jab aa gayin hai josh e rehmat pe unki ankhen
When his eyes have surged forth, ocean-like, with mercy
4. jalte bujha diye hain, rote hansa diye hain
they have extinguished those on fire, brought smiles to those in tears
5. ik dil hamara kya hai, aazaar uska kitna
What is my heart alone?--however much its harm
6. tum ne to chaltey phirtey, murdey jila diye hain
You have brought back to life the living dead!
7. unke nisar koi kaisey hi runj mein ho
May I die for him! However much sorrow someone is in
8. jab yaad aa gaye hain, sab gham bhula diye hain
When he is remembered, all one's sorrows are forgotten!
9. hum se faqir bhi ab pheri ko uthte hongey
Now even mendicants hope to obtain something from us
10. ab to ghani ke dar par, bistar jama diye hain
Since we have lain our matresses at the door of that Generous One!
11. asra mein guzrey jis dam berey pe qudsiyon ke
During the Ascension when he passed the angelic hosts
12. hone lagi salaami, parchum jhuka diye hain
They began to salute him and lowered their flags!
13. aaney do ya dubo do ab to tumhari janib
Whether you let me cross or not, it is now up to your pleasure
14. kashti tum hi pe chori, langar utha diye hain
I have left my ship in your hands, have lifted the anchor!
15. dulha se itna kehdo pyarey sawari roko
Say this much to the Bridegroom: Beloved, halt your steed awhile
16. mushkil mein hain baraati, purkhar laa diye hain
The wedding guests are in difficulty--their way strewn with thorns!
17. allah re kya jahannam ab bhi na sard hoga
Allah! Have the fires of Gehenna still not frozen over?
18. ro, ro ke Mustafa ne, dariya baha diye hain
Beloved Mustafa has wept oceans of tears!
19. mere karim se gar qatra kisi ne maanga
If someone has asked a mere drop from my gracious Master
20. dariya baha diye hain, durbe baha diye hain
He has given him rivers in return, whole oceans instead!
21. mulk e sukhn ki shahi tum ko Raza musallam
Congratulations on being crowned king of Verse, Raza!
22. jis simt aa gaye hain, sikke bitha diye hain
Wherever you have gone, coins have been struck in your name!
